Air Fried Cinnamon Gluten Free French Toast
This easy, healthy gluten free French Toast recipe can be made in 15 minutes making it a great breakfast recipe for busy mornings and is great for meal prepped breakfasts as well. It’s super easy to double and the taste reminds me of a healthy version of the cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I tried out a couple different gluten free breads for this recipe, and the only bread that didn’t fall apart in the egg and milk mixture was Franz Gluten Free Mountain White Bread. Also, if you cannot find the Macadamia Nut Milk, I would substitute it with almond milk (coconut or regular milk might be too heavy for the gluten free bread). – Kara, The Accidental Chef
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of Original Macadamia Nut Milk (Milkadamia)
- 3 slices of Gluten Free Mountain White Bread (Franz)
- 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon Sugar
- 1 large egg
Directions:
Preheat your Air Fryer to 350 degrees.
Cut the bread into slices as shown below.
In a bowl or container, whip the egg until its mixed together. Then add the 1/4 cup of macadamia nut milk with the 1/4 tsp of cinnamon sugar. Mix together.
Then add the slices of bread, making sure to that they are evenly coated on both sides.
Spray the air fryer pan with a nonstick cooking spray (note the slices will still get stuck on the bottom, just not as badly).
Make sure all the slices are laying flat and put them into the air fryer for 5 minutes,
then flip the slices and put back into the air fryer for 5 more minutes.
Serve with agave and blueberries for a truly delicious breakfast.
