Grilled Shrimp Rice Bowl
This low fat healthy grilled shrimp rice bowl recipe is so easy to make. This low calorie rice bowl is packed full of potassium and vitamin C. This delicious easy recipe is higher in carbs but because I used brown rice as my starch, you are getting lots of antioxidants and other healthy nutrients like iron and magnesium. This is also a great recipe for those of you who are watching your sodium intake levels as this grilled shrimp rice bowl recipe only has 109.5 mg of sodium per serving. Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 16 oz of peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 tsp of Slap Ya Mama seasoning
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
- 1 can of 15.25 oz of pineapple tidbits
- 1 tbsp of Sesame oil
- 1/4 cup of gluten free tamari
- 1 tsp of sesame seeds
- 2 cups of brown rice
Directions:
Add the brown rice to a rice cooker and set to brown rice.
Place the deveined and defrosted shrimp on the skewers.
Season with 1 tsp of Slap Ya Mama seasoning. Cook on the grill (temperature at 350) for 10 mins.
Take the rice out of the rice cooker, add 1 tsp of ground ginger, 1/4 cup of green onions, the drained pineapple tidbits, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, 1/4 cup of tamari, and 1 tsp of sesame seeds.
Then mix together and add the shrimp.
