Crock Pot Mediterranean Spiced Chicken
This easy flavorful healthy Crock Pot Mediterranean Spiced Chicken recipe is another favorite of mine. If you have never had prosciutto before, this is definitely a great way to try it! This recipe blends sage, rosemary, garlic, and prosciutto together to create a healthy Mediterranean flavor to the chicken. This is a great low carb and high protein meal. Serves 5
Ingredients:
- 6 ounces of prosciutto, chopped
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 6 springs fresh sage leaves, chopped
- 6 springs of fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 10 chicken drumsticks with the bone and skin on
- 1/2 cup of low sodium chicken broth
- Olive Oil
- Garlic Salt
- 1/4 tsp of Ground Pepper
Directions:
Place the chicken drumsticks on top of the ingredients. Season with garlic salt.
Then place the remaining prosciutto, garlic, sage, and rosemary over the chicken, and add 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Finally pour in the chicken broth.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
